Rigid Splayed Adjustable Outside Bead

Rigid Splayed Adjustable Outside Bead incorporates channels on either side of the I Beam, allowing the bead to adjust to corners between 120°–150° with ease.

This ability to adjust to unusual angles allows the bead to compensate for some irregularities in framing – saving time and solving a long standing complaint within the industry. The I Beam allows beads to absorb impact and resist cracking while producing a sharper corner.

Rigid Splayed Adjustable Outside Bead is available as a spray and staple trim (72-RS10) or a Mud Set Bead (72-MSRS10)

Installing Trim-Tex Spray and Staple Trims

Trim-Tex beads are flexible, corrosion resistant and easy to cut, sand, paint and install.

A majority of the Trim-Tex range is installed using the 72-847 Spray Adhesive and Staples.  In this video – watch as Bill installs Internal Corner Beads using the “Spray and Staple” method.

Installation:
• Ensure the substrate is true and plumb
• Remove excess overhang of plasterboard prior to installation of Trim-Tex beads
• Spray a liberal coat of Trim-Tex 847 Spray Adhesive to the inside of the Trim-Tex bead as well as the surface of the
plasterboard where the Trim-Tex bead is to be installed
• Apply firm even pressure to the mud legs using the Trim-Tex Cleaning Tool to ensure a solid bond
• Staple through the set leg of the Trim-Tex bead at 200mm centres maximum, using 10mm divergent staples (refer to
stapling diagram). When installing archway beads staple every tab for ultimate bond
• Re-apply pressure to the set leg of the Trim-Tex bead if required
• Set the Trim-Tex bead with approved compounds (refer to standard ASTM-C475M-02 (2007) or the Plasterboard Manufacturers
recommendations)

The new Trim-Tex Catalogue has arrived

The 2011 edition of the Trim-Tex Catalogue is here!

The new edition of the Trim-Tex catalogue sports a sleek new look and over 13 new products including: Mud Set, Arch Plus, 19mm Chamfer, Rigid Beads and more.

The catalogue is available electronically from the resources section of the PlasterArt Website or you could just click here to start the download.

Impact resistant “I” Beam

Trim-Tex Rigid Beads created sharp, dent resistant, finished corners and archways.  The unique “I” Beam design makes the profiles 3 times more rigid enabling them to absorb impacts and resist cracking.

The Rigid Archway Bead matches perfectly with the Mud Set Corner Bead allowing for a smooth transition between straight 900 lines and flowing curves.

Rigid Spayed Bead incorporates the dent resistant rigidity found in the rest of the range but fits to splayed outside angles creating an open feel.  The mud legs on the Splayed Bead can be adjusted to accommodate angles between 1200 – 1500.

Trim-Tex Rigid Beads are installed using both 847 Spray Adhesive and staples.

Create twin profile lines with 19mm Chamfer Beads

Chamfer Bead maintains the appearance of a crisp corner with an urban appeal.

Installing 19mm Chamfer profile results in a narrower, more subtle appearance than the traditional 32mm wide Chamfer Bead.

19mm Chamfer Corner Bead partners perfectly with the 19mm Chamfer Archway Bead providing smooth transitions between 900 corners and curved detail. The combination of the “T” shaped slots and flexible area above the arch tabs allows the Chamfer Archway Bead to curve around detail and archways continuing the Chamfer look throughout the entire building.
